The first point of the patriotic journey in the footsteps of the Governor will be an amazing monument in his honor, which is the Tadeusz Kościuszko Mound, picturesquely situated on the “Sikornik” hill. At this point, you will learn about the interesting history of the mound and you will see a wonderful view of the panorama of Krakow. You will visit the Chapel of Blessed Bronisława – a hermit who lived in the XIII century during the Tatar invasions, and you will get to know the exhibitions inside the Austrian Fort No. 2 “Kościuszko”. While visiting the exhibition devoted to the biography of Tadeusz Kościuszko, you will learn about the secrets of his life. Then you will go with our guide to the Main Market Square, where you will see a commemorating plaque of the Kościuszko oath and the tenement houses where he stayed. You will enter with a guide to St. Mary’s Basilica, where Kościuszko repeated his oath, and you will visit The Gallery of 19th-Century Polish Art the Sukiennice (The Cloth Hall) to see paintings by Michał Stachowicz from the period of the Kościuszko Uprising.
